Cloud Storage

Cloud storage or network attached storage (NAS) is a fileserver service allowing users to upload, download, and view arbitrary files over a network. The files can be accessed securely over a VPN or globally over the internet.

Files and databases in cloud storage can also be accessed as an API so the data can be injected or hosted on any website or app.

The difference between cloud storage and a full backup solution is that backups include some kind of script to automate regular uploads to the NAS, ensuring data duplication.
